Tips To Stop Snoring - Impact Of Dairy Products

Author: Mahesh Natarajan

Amongst the various options available to the common man today to stop snoring, there are several of which are related to the food habits of the snorer. While the relationships between food types and snoring is broadly known, the exact steps that need to be taken as far as dietary intake is concerned to stop this problem are not common knowledge. This was the trigger which resulted in the creation of this article, by reading which you will get to know more of how dairy products impact snoring and how reduction in consumption of the same will yield some benefits in the quest to stop snoring.

Dairy products are products that are fundamentally made from milk directly or derivatives of milk. It is a little known fact that milk contains substances that can produce mucous in a few individuals. Therefore intake of milk will contribute to the build-up of mucous and make the person suffering from the cold feel that much worse. The nasal passages become stuffier, the chest begins to feel congested and on the whole, breathing becomes a difficult ask.

Let's consider a hypothetical situation when you are the victim of your partner's snoring. If the two of you are dining late at night, you should observe the sensitivity of your partner towards milk consumption and the related snoring levels in the night. If the snoring is lesser on days when milk was not on the menu as compared to when a glass of milk was consumed by the snorer, then you have a clear indication that the culprit which is the chief cause of your partner's snoring is the milk. So to stop the snoring, you will have to arrest the dairy product intake of your partner. This is not to say snorers cant have milk but its to say that recommended time for such people to have milk should be breakfast or lunch but definitely not at dinner.

You would of course, be knowing that adults aren't the only ones who snore. Children consume, on an average, more quantity of dairy products especially milk than most adults. For a child who tends to develop mucous build-up their breathing might be even more pronounced after they've had a dinner that included several servings of dairy products. By choosing a calcium supplement instead of a glass of milk, you could provide both your partner and your child with a good deal of great sleep night after night and ensure the experience of a fully satisfactory and healthy life.
