Government credit card abuse is running rampant in Washington, DC and it is with nearly every agency. Recently the United States federal government has made a new law against Government credit card abuse. It is interesting that the federal government decided they had to make a law against this when stealing is already against the law. That is government money to be used for official government use and not personal items. It is a cut and dry situation and he had some bureaucrat said they could not put government workers in jail because the problem is so widespread they would have to put all government workers in jail. So what? Why our government workers above the law? And why do we need more laws on the books when people violate the American people's trust and abuse government credit cards for personal use in Washington, DC? It is called stealing and that is against the law my friends. What kinds of things are government workers spending taxpayers monies on; nude bars, cruise vacations, casinos and even car washes. But it does not stop there. I was even reading where one agency; the Federal Trade Commission had failed to turn off government credit cards and travel expenses for retired employees or former lawyers who went to go work in private practice. It is amazing the inability of our government to watch over the taxpayers money. Further, it is in comprehensible the lack of fiscal management in our own government. It is time that the American taxpayer knew the truth and stood up against fraud in our government. Please consider this in 2006. |
