Solar Power Comes Alive in 2005, Think on This in 2006

Author: Lance Winslow

Perhaps you have not noticed but solar power has come a long way in the last couple years. In fact to manufacture solar cells now costs about half of what it did five years ago and believe it or not it is over 65 percent more efficient.

They are now able to make solar cells out of plastics and all kinds of materials that do not cost is much. All this is propelling entrepreneurs in the solar power industry to come up with new applications and consider even more ways to use solar power to help America break her addiction to foreign Middle Eastern oil. We can do this America and we can do it with the power of the sun.

While everyone else is screaming about climate change and global warming perhaps we can take some of the hot summer sun and turn it into energy and we will be laughing all the way to the bank by reducing our electricity bills and our fuel costs.

Solar energy makes sense for so many reasons and thanks to the top universities, presidential initiatives and the many research and development centers across the country solar power is making strides. Have you thought about solar power for your home, recreational vehicle or other needs? You should because with the lower cost to install solar panels it now makes sense from a return on investment standpoint to put them in and save on those electrical bills. Will you consider this in 2006.
