Website Development - Virtual Real Estate

Author: Cheryl Hammer
Do you remember when you could "own a piece of the rock"? Well, now you can own a piece of the web, it is basically the same thing, only it is more like "virtual" real estate. You can put things on your website, and it will stay there, it is yours, you own it. And it is especially useful when you put things on your website that you want to sell.

First of all, you need to register a domain. Domain? What is a domain, you ask? Well, a domain is like your house, or place, and all you have to do is give it a dot.com name to turn it into your own "virtual real estate".

In deciding what you want your domain name to be, you need to consider your "niche", and what kind of product or service you will be providing to that niche. If you are providing recipes for beans, you might call your site beanrecipes.com. So you need to figure out what it is exactly that you have to offer, and decide on a domain name, like the one used above. The process of coming up with a good name is a fairly easy one. Just keep it to one or two words, like, makingmoney.com, or bobspizza.com, just for an example.

After you have decided on a domain name, you can just look up a domain registrar with your favorite search engine, and get that name registered. (You can also find a link to a real good one on my website.) Noone can use that name now. And if you go a step further, by getting it hosted on the internet, then you can begin to start developing your site into a profitable business online.

You can go to my website, for more information on this subject. Click on the links to visit my mentors,( the ones who taught me how to build my own piece of virtual real estate!) Register at my site, and I will send you incredible reports, and other "goodies" from time to time. Wishing you all success and happiness!
